To make a Booking
You will first need to fill in the Reservation Form on-line to check the availability of your chosen dates, or you can e-mail or phone us.

To make a booking, please print and return the form and a deposit of £150 per person. We will then invoice you for the remainder of the cost and send confirmation of your booking.  The remainder of the cost must be paid not later than 6 weeks before the commencement date of your course.  If you book less than 6 weeks before commencement date of your chosen course, full payment must be made on booking. If we do not receive the balance of payment we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled

Your holiday confirmation contains all details of your agreement with us. It is your responsibility to check this information and advise us of any inaccuracy within a week. In case of failing to do so, it shall be assumed that you have entered into this agreement.

Please note that the person who signs the form shall be deemed to act as the agent for all persons shown on the form and his/her signature binds all such persons including the signatory jointly and severally to the booking terms and conditions.

If you cancel your booking
If for any reason you cancel your booking after we have issued your confirmation, you must notify us in writing. The cancellation of the booking only comes into effect upon receipt of the written notification from you and the following cancellation charges will be due:

More than 4 weeks prior to the course date- £150 deposited

Less than 4 weeks prior to the course date the course fee is non-refundable

We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to be covered for cancellation. Providing reasons for cancellation falls within the terms of your holiday insurance you will be able to reclaim these charges.

Holiday Insurance
It is a condition as part of our holidays that you acquire adequate insurance cover, which must include adequate cover for baggage, medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue

Subject to extraordinary conditions, beyond our control, we guarantee that the price of your holiday will not be subject to any surcharges once a booking has been made.

Special circumstances for us to change or cancel your holiday
The Raku Garden reserves the right to substitute course teachers in the event of circumstances beyond our control, for example, illness. Another teacher will be provided and you will be informed of the circumstances. Deposits will under these circumstances be refunded should the participant wish to withdraw. In the unlikely event of a tutor being replaced due to circumstances beyond our control, or we find it necessary to cancel your booking, our liability is limited to the amount of money paid to The Raku Garden only.

If we cancel or significantly alter an important element of the holiday within 6 weeks before the commencement date, we will offer the choice of an alternative date or a full refund. We will not cancel your holiday after the date when payment of the balance becomes due unless it is necessary to do so as a result of force majeure or your default of the outstanding balance. During the holiday we reserve the right, if we consider it necessary, for any reason and any time to alter an itinerary according to weather, force majeure or other considerations.

Force Majeure is the unusual and unforeseeable circumstance beyond our control, the consequences of which neither we nor our suppliers could avoid, examples of which are war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers, or other similar events beyond our control.

Changing your booking details
We realise that occasionally you may wish to make minor changes to your booking which do not involve a change of date. Wherever possible we will endeavour to make these changes, subject to availability, and you will only be liable to pay any costs which result.

Your responsibility
Activity holidays can be hazardous. In the interests of your safety you will have to follow the advice of our representative, guide or accommodation agent, comply with any local codes of conduct, follow the country code and act sensibly and prudently at all times. You also agree to indemnify us from all loss and/or damage arising directly/indirectly from any act of default on your own behalf.

We reserve the right to exclude any client from the planned activity if their actions are thought to endanger the safety of themselves or other clients. We will not refund any fees paid to anyone so excluded. Any client who acts in the contravention of the decisions or advice of the tutor or undertakes independent activities during the course will forfeit all professional protection and duty of care from the tutor.

Any trips or excursions are entered into at the participant's own risk and we advise you to have suitable insurance cover. Each student must be in good health, and physically able to perform all aspects of the course or chosen activity. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property (please check you holiday insurance for your cover details)

It is your responsibility to ensure that your official documents, passport etc are in order. Non EU residents should check visa requirements with their consulate, and obtain one if necessary     

You should obtain an E111 for your health cover (available from the Post Office).

It is also your responsibility to advise us in writing at the time of booking, of any medical condition or other ailment, allergy, disability/access needs, special dietary needs. 


We do not provide flights. Please try to book your flights for arrival and departure to fit with the itinerary if possible. This may not always be possible for some people and it may be easier to arrive a day earlier and stay overnight in Split before the start of your holiday. We can arrange for over-night accommodation in these instances.

The course will be taught in English. Anyone with a reasonable grasp of English is very welcome.

If you have a complaint whilst on holiday it your responsibility to inform us at the time. Failure to allow us to rectify the complaint may result in you loosing any legal rights in respect of the particular matter. Should we be unable to rectify the matter locally, written details via e-mail must be received within 7 days of your return to the UK.

Please note that currently we are unable to accept individuals under the age of 18, unless they are directly supervised by a parent or guardian for the duration of the course.

Any claims shall be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings will be within the exclusive domain of the English courts.

The participant agrees to accept all the above conditions. By signing the booking form the applicant declares that all information is true, correct and complete.
